Perfusion Imaging is a comparison of blood flow to the heart at rest and stress as a physiologic result of blockage in the coronary arteries. Most often for moderate risk patients, abnormal EKG's, and after angioplasty or bypass surgery.	Echocardiogram is an ultrasound method to assess for acquired, structural, valvular, and congenital causes of heart disease.	Stress echo allows for the comparison of wall motion of the heart at rest and stress as a physiologic surrogate to blockage in the coronary arteries. Most often for low to moderate risk patients and younger patients in which there may be structural and valvular causes of symptoms.

Contrast coronary angiogram is a method for assessing coronary anatomy in the outpatient setting. Most often used for indeterminate stress tests and assessment of bypass grafts. Coronary calcium plaque scoring has become the accepted method of cardiac and vascular risk stratification.	Cardiac MRI is useful for the diagnosis of structural, infiltrative, myopathic, and extracardiac masses. It is the gold standard for complex congenital heart disease.	Vascular CTA and MRA for the non-invasive diagnosis of carotid, aorta, renal, mesenteric, and peripheral vascular disease has replaced invasive catheter based angiography for the definitive diagnosis and pre surgical planning.

About your Doctor

Dr. Henry Lucid is a fourth generation Texas physician originally from Galveston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas for his undergraduate studies, Baylor College of Medicine for his medical degree and residency, and the Medical College of Pennsylvania - Allegheny General Hospital for his cardiology fellowship. He specializes in Preventive Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging. His focus is on echo, vascular, perfusion stress imaging, coronary CT angiography, and Cardiac Magnetic Resonance. "These services are offered in the office in a friendly easy to access one stop shop."

Your Staff

Paul Gililland is the nuclear medicine technologist. He is originally from Bossier City, California but now calls Austin home. Paul did his undergraduate work at Louisiana Tech and his nuclear training at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He is an active runner, a cyclist, and a proud father of three boys. He does our perfusion stress tests in our ICANL Accredited Nuclear Lab.

David Scott is from Mobile, Alabama and received his BS in Applied Sciences, RDMS and RVT registries from University of Alabama in Birmingham. He joined us in November 2007 and came with 15 years experience in ultrasound. He does vascular ultrasound in our ACR Accredited Vascular Lab.

John Carlson is from Houston, Texas and received his cardiovascular ultrasound training at the Texas Medical Center. He is a registered cardiac sonographer and has been working for fifteen years. John serves as the cardiac ultrasound tech and stress echo specialist in our Accredited Echo Lab.

Sherry Randall is from Nacogdoches, Texas and received her RN degree from Angelina Nursing School. She worked as an ER nurse for thirteen years with specialties in cardiology and trauma. She serves as the clinical coordinator and nurse clinical contact.

Traci Kind is from Phoenix, Arizona and has a Bachelors degree in Business specializing in Health Care Administration. Traci strives to accommodate all patient requests and to make the experience in our clinic as easy and friendly as possible. She serves as the front desk manager and scheduling facilitator.
